This year we had a great Christmas we got Micah's present early and he has thoroughly enjoyed, as have the kids. Then we continued the tradition that Grandna had started while she was here last year. This year the kids wanted gingerbread trees instead of a house.
We then opened our one present for Christmas eve. This year they got much needed comforters. They were so excited they couldn't wait till bed time.
Frank was the first to wake up the next morning and went straight to the living room to see if Santa had came. We woke up to a little boy screaming down the hall with excitement. We opened the presents and then decided to spend the day up in Nauvoo. So we packed some bags and headed out. Nauvoo as always was very pretty. It had gotten some snow, so we got our white Christmas after all.
So its Christmas night and as some of you might know nothing is open. We drove around looking for some where to eat or get some food. When we came upon a little restaurant that was open. I couldn't help but laugh as we parked thinking how appropriate it was to eat Chinese keeping with the old Hollywood Chevy Chase movies.

Our new Schnauzers

We picked up two little girls this month, the little puppy is Penny's replacement from the breeder. The older one was from a family who was moving to OK and didnt want to bring her. She turned out to be more of a rescue than anything though she had never had a haircut and when I groomed her I found a little girl so matted down that it was causing some skin conditions, also I could see every rib, spine bone and hip bone. I found it extra sad since her family went on about how much of a pig she was. She was starving for goodness sake. Everything the family has told us has been the exact opposite. We are positive that she was kept in the garage when winter set in and before that she was kept on a chain outside mostly ignored. She has a lovely scar around her neck from an embedded collar. She has a really hard time trusting people, we are slowly changing that and she seems to be truly grateful.
The house is once again full of love and the sound of their little pitter patters bring us joy. We thank our Heavenly Father for giving us these precious spirits and pray that they will be with us for a long time.

Shelby Anne and Trixie Grace
We had to put our beloved Shelby down a couple days ago. She ruthlessly attacked and killed our 8 month old schnauzer puppy. Our family is in shock as we loved both of these dogs tremendously. Shelby has left behind a silence so deafening, her passing will be very hard to overcome. Both Trixie and Shelby were one in a million.
Trixie was a great little girl who was very tender hearted. She loved to cuddle and relax with you. Its unfortunate that I only have pics before her much needed hair cut. We are very crushed by the early end to her life.

Palin/Biden Debate Party
Micah and I went to the Palin Debate Party. We had so much fun. Micah got the attention of Sarah during a pause in her speech where he yelled that she kicked Bidens butt. The crowd started chanting and Palin and her husband started cracking up. Got to love the enthusiasm of my Husband. It was totally AWESOME!!!

Franks Birthday
Frank turned four this year and is acting every bit of it. He was super excited that he got what he wanted. But disappointment set in fast when he realized he didn't come by riding a two wheeler naturally

Battle with the Noodles
Last night we had round 1 with the spaghetti Cameron comes out a winner in a very close battle, giving me a thumbs up for a another good dinner down.
Tonight in round 2 however, the left over spaghetti took its revenge and Cameron had to retreat to the shower before the dinner could finish her off.

Sad Day at the Spicer's
Our Little Money Penny died this morning, she was four months old. She died of an enlarged heart. She was the sweetest pup, she had more love and tolerance in her 6 lb body than any other living thing I know. We will miss her dearly.
